Anna University Centre for Distance and Online Education started in 2007 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The university gives distance education through more than 10 study centres in the state. To get admission in a distance course, students must have a bachelor’s degree or something equal from a recognised college. But students who have done their degree from an “off-campus” system cannot apply for any course.

Admissions are now open for MBA, MCA, and M.Sc. programs for the 2025 batch at Anna University. Admission is based on an entrance exam for MBA and MCA, but not for M.Sc. The last date to apply is September 20, 2025.
Students who pass the exam and make it to the merit list will go for document checking. After that, they have to pay the fee to confirm their seat. Students from outside Tamil Nadu need to pay ₹400 as a recognition fee. Students who are differently-abled can get a fee waiver by showing a valid medical certificate.
